1. Desktop app
Organizr is a desktop application, not a traditional website. Inside the app, no advertising cookies, profiling cookies, or third-party marketing trackers are used.
Some app screens are rendered through a webview and use browser-like local storage to work correctly. In this policy, localStorage and similar technical tools are described together with cookies because they perform a comparable technical function.
2. Technical storage used by the app
The app uses localStorage and local storage for preferences and technical states, including language, onboarding, debug mode, account/login metadata, license status, entitlement snapshots, Sync activation status, enabled Sync modules, local timers, UI preferences, and AI consent.
In production builds, sensitive tokens such as refresh tokens and Sync password material are stored in the operating system secure keychain when available. In development builds, a local fallback may be used for testing.
These elements are necessary to provide app functions, maintain sessions, remember the user's choices, and operate local features. They are not used for advertising profiling.
3. Network resources and external pages
The app loads Google Fonts from Google servers. This may involve technical requests to Google and is governed by Google's policies.
When the user opens external pages such as pricing, purchase, Stripe billing, support, Privacy Policy, password reset, third-party OAuth pages, or websites opened through links, those sites may use their own cookies and tools according to their respective policies.
4. Consent
Because Organizr does not use advertising or profiling cookies inside the desktop app, the app's internal interface does not show a marketing cookie banner.
Optional functions such as Organizr AI, Sync, Community, and external integrations require a voluntary user action inside the app and are governed mainly by the Privacy Policy and Terms.
5. Managing local storage
The user can remove local data by deleting the app data files, removing the app, using available controls, logging out, disabling Sync, or deleting local/exported backups where applicable.
Clearing local storage may disconnect the user, reset preferences, disable remembered Sync states, or remove local-only data.
